Yeep (Young Entrepreneur Exchange Project) is a pilot project to promote the establishment of new businesses in Ethiopia. Sponsors of the project are « The Business Machine Europa » association, the Bernese Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences) and the Hawassa University in Ethiopia. The project’s goal is to enable Ethiopian students to shape their own destiny and to avoid unemployment after their studies.
Students of both countries learn during a semester the full process from the development of business ideas to the finalized business plan and elaborate the necessary basics in joint teams of Swiss and Ethiopians
The Jansen PrimeSteps Foundation facilitated the launch of YEEP with an initial contribution and supported its operation. In 2016, an additional sum was spoken for the exit phase of the project.
