As a long-standing cooperation partner of BPN Foundation (Business Professionals Network), the Jansen PrimeSteps Foundation is well acquainted with BPN’s values and approach. As a result of this cooperation, and because we both focus on start-up projects, we developed a joint plan to launch the pilot project “Promoting Entrepreneurship” in Kyrgyzstan. The goal of this project is to guide promising entrepreneurial personalities who have their own business ideas on their way to setting up a company. They receive training to become young entrepreneurs and are supported on their journeys with the resources of the already existing BPN business network and a pool of experts.
This training opportunity is available to people who can convincingly demonstrate their motivation and talent and who are also committed to setting up their businesses in Kyrgyzstan (not in neighbouring Russia).
The concept for this model pilot project was developed in close cooperation with the University of St. Gallen, known as HSG, (Chair for Entrepreneurship) using the proven “St. Gallen Startup Navigator” process. This has resulted in a training curriculum adapted to the local circumstances, but which BPN can also use elsewhere. The Jansen PrimeSteps Foundation has guaranteed the financing of the three-year start-up phase and thus provided substantial help to get this project off the ground. We are also providing support for the development and implementation of the concept in the form of our many years of experience in business
With its entrepreneurial approach, the anticipated creation of new jobs and its model multiplier effect, the project gets to the core of our foundation’s purpose.
